Free, Family-Friendly Events in Waco

Creative Waco produces concerts, festivals, and public art programs that bring families together while supporting local artists and culture.

Free live music for the whole family

Levitt AMP Waco Music Series

Levitt AMP Waco is a free outdoor concert series that brings families together through live music in the heart of downtown. With a welcoming, laid-back atmosphere, the series features local, regional, and national artists while creating space for kids to dance, parents to relax, and neighbors to connect.

Concerts are always free, family-friendly, and designed to be accessible for all ages.

A community celebration rooted in tradition

Día de los Muertos Waco

Día de los Muertos Waco is a city-wide cultural celebration honoring remembrance, heritage, and creativity. The event brings together families, artists, performers, and community partners for an immersive experience featuring art installations, live performances, and hands-on activities for all ages.

It’s a welcoming space for families to learn, celebrate, and experience culture together.

Programming With Purpose

While our events bring families together, their impact reaches far beyond a single day. Creative Waco’s programming invests in artists, supports youth development, and creates lasting opportunities that strengthen Waco’s cultural future.

Youth, mentorship, and public art

ArtPrenticeship

ArtPrenticeship is a paid mentorship program that pairs high school students with professional artists to create large-scale public art across Waco. Students gain hands-on experience, learn directly from working creatives, and contribute meaningful artwork to their community.

Families get to see young artists grow in confidence and skill while helping shape the city’s public spaces.

Be the Spark for Waco’s Creative Community

Creative Sparks is how individuals support the artists, events, and cultural programs that make Waco feel like home. By joining, you help fund paid opportunities for local artists, free and family-friendly events, and programs like ArtPrenticeship and Dia de los Muertos Waco, while staying connected through member-only updates and invitations. It’s not just about attending events. It’s about investing in the creative ecosystem that brings people together and keeps Waco’s culture thriving.
