Improv Classes and Show featuring Comedy Central Star Rich Talarico

Waco Civic Theatre and Brazos Theatre

Register today for our upcoming Improv Master Class featuring Rich Talarico from Comedy Central! This collaborative three-part event on Sunday, Sept. 29 is brought to you by Waco Civic Theatre and Brazos Theatre. Rich is a Peabody® Award-winning comedy veteran with over 30 years of experience in stand-up, writing and producing. He has written for many well-known comedy series, including “Saturday Night Live,” “Key & Peele”” and “MADtv.” Talarico’s extensive experience in the comedy industry has made him a sought-after teacher, writer and consultant. He is currently teaching and performing stand-up comedy around the United States.

The event will include two master classes and an improv show featuring Rich, the Brazos Theatre Improv Troupe and local improv professional Emilie Cunningham. The cost is $75 to participate in the class and $40 to audit. Those who participate in one of the master classes will also receive a free ticket to the improv show. The show will take place at Waco Civic Theatre, and tickets are available for $27.50. Both the master classes and the shows will include PG-13 content. Participants must be 15 or older to participate in the master classes, and ages 15-16 must be accompanied by an adult at no extra charge.

Urban Expressions Fall Artisan Market

Mission Waco - Urban Expressions

Mission Waco's Art Program, Urban Expressions, will be hosting an Artisan Market on Saturday October 5th, from 12:00 pm-5:00 pm. The Market is meant to spotlight our local Waco artists and artisans, who will have the opportunity to display and sell their artwork. Every purchased vendor spot also goes directly to supporting our children's and youth art program. We will have a food truck as well as artists of all types. From woodworkers to jewelry makers, painters and more. The event will be hosted in the parking lot space behind Mission Waco's World Cup Cafe and Fair Trade, on 1404 Colcord Avenue.
