Opportunities for Young Artists. Beauty for Our City.

In the summer of 2018, Creative Waco brought an exceptional new program to our community. ARTPrenticeship offers real-world concept-to-completion mentored work experience for talented high school students and new artistic masterpieces for our city in the form of striking murals and public art. The program was modeled on Cincinnati's award-winning ArtWorks. You can find ARTPrenticeship’s murals on 2nd St. and Jackson Ave., Brotherwell Brewing, Waco Family Medicine's Martin Luther King Jr. Community Clinic, The Cove, TFNB Your Bank For Life's East Waco Branch, the Dr Pepper Museum, and Triple Win Waco.

ARTPrenticeship connects young creatives from Waco area high schools with local professional artists to create fresh and eye-catching works of art that reflect the history, aspirations and beauty of our community. By collaborating with business owners, sponsors, and community leaders, the program provides so much more than a regular internship. It teaches participants the transferable skills to manage every stage of a creative project from idea to icon. If you are passionate about beauty for our city, and want to invest in gifted young creatives, please consider sponsoring our apprentices!
