Creative Waco invites Waco and its surrounding communities to participate in the Public Art Strategic Plan Survey

WACO, TX | June 22, 2022 – Creative Waco, with The City of Waco, has engaged national arts consulting organization Forecast Public Art to lead the process of developing the first Public Art Strategic Plan for the City of Waco, Texas.

The Strategic Plan provides direction on the planning and processes necessary to further develop, administer, and maintain a dynamic city-wide public art program that represents the entire city’s character and hopes, creates opportunities for local artists, and addresses diversity, equity and inclusion.

To provide outreach to the Waco community, Forecast Public Art develops layers of rigorous public participation through 1:1 interviews, focus groups, community engagement pop-up events, and public surveys.

Forecast Public Art invites residents from Waco and its surrounding communities to complete an online survey to identify the public art priorities and opportunities. The online survey takes 5 to 7 minutes to complete and is available in English and Spanish at https://creativewaco.org/public-art-strategic-plan/ until August 1, 2022.
