Opportunities for Young Artists. Beauty for Our City.
In the summer of 2018, Creative Waco launched the ARTPrenticeship program, pairing talented high school students with professional artists to create stunning public murals that beautify our city. Inspired by Cincinnati's ArtWorks, this program offers young artists invaluable real-world experience, guiding them through the entire creative process from concept to completion.
These vibrant murals not only reflect Waco's rich history and spirit but also equip students with transferable skills essential for any creative career. You can admire the fruits of their labor on 2nd Street and Jackson Avenue, Brotherwell Brewing, Waco Family Medicine's Martin Luther King Jr. Community Clinic, The Cove, TFNB Your Bank For Life's East Waco Branch, the Dr Pepper Museum, Triple Win Waco, the Herringbone Hotel and Cameron Park Zoo.
If you share our passion for beautifying the city and nurturing young creative talent, please consider sponsoring our apprentices! To learn more about the program and explore past projects.
